Writer-directors Alexey Chupov and Natasha Merkulova’s début feature “Intimnye mesta” [Eng. Title: Intimate Parts] is an amusing observation of the sexual mores and fetishes among a group of urban Russians.
Principal character Ivan (Yuriy Kolokolnikov) – a photographer, is preparing to stage an exhibition of his work in Moscow. His theme – genitals – male and female, in all shapes and sizes, and from all walks of life. His secretary Sveta (Olesya Sudzilovskaya), and Girl-Friday Sayana (Dinara Yankovskaya) are also his lovers, and he shares his time equally between the two. But he also takes on additional sundry lovers when he feels like it, and on one occasion also has a threesome with two sisters. Among his friends are Alexey (Nikita Tarasov) who’s lost sexual interest in wife Olga (Ksenia Katalymova), Sergey (played by director Chupov himself) who doesn’t want wife Eva (Ekaterina Scheglova) to get pregnant – we’ll learn about his closeted homosexuality later, and Boris (Timur Badalbeili), a shrink who Alexey and Sergey also consult from time to time.
Eva discovers she’s pregnant but keeps it a secret, and finds herself drawn towards a magician-acquaintance of Sergey’s (he too is attracted to the magician). Alexey, hoping to stay faithful to his wife despite loosing interest in her, decides not to look at attractive women again – only at ‘ugly’ ones instead (his words), but soon finds himself attracted to the latter kind. He even romances and beds Albina (Anastasia Kholodniakova) without any feeling of ‘guilt’. Boris meanwhile has his own peculiar fetish which we will see. A top official at the local censor/morality board – Lyudmila (Yuliya Aug) has branded Ivan’s work pornographic and pulls out all stops to get his show banned. Well – she too has a stuttering relationship with a battery-operated ‘lover’. Her frustrations will eventually force her to seek out one of her staff members – her official driver..! 🙂
For a début, both directors give a decent account of themselves. The cinematography is good, and their filming style holds plenty of promise. The characterisation is perhaps one of the film’s weaker points, but it’s more or less compensated for in the other departments. The comedy drama is quirky, entertaining, and Recommended Viewing..!
The Nudity: Yuriy Kolokolnikov, Aleksandra Ponomareva, Ekaterina Osotova, Ekaterina Scheglova, Nelli Blinova, Olesya Sudzilovskaya, Dinara Yankovskaya, and others
There are brief but intermittent scenes of male and female nudity in the film. Most of the cast members get naked at some point, but their scenes are not intended to titillate. Among them, the ones with substantial roles to play include Yuriy Kolokolnikov, Yuliya Aug, Ekaterina Scheglova, Olesya Sudzilovskaya, and Dinara Yankovskaya.

About the compilations:
Assuming readers would prefer it this way, I’d split the scenes into two compilations, so that you get the choice of retaining both or just the one. The first contains film nudity of a conventional variety. The second is not quite the same, and at least one of the actresses is morbidly obese. But this is me trying to cover all aspects of nudity in film..! I’d zipped the two together to keep them online for as long as possible, because files that don’t get downloaded once in a while, expire.
Compilation 1:
Aleksandra Ponomareva, Ekaterina Osotova, Ekaterina Scheglova, Nelli Blinova, Olesya Sudzilovskaya, Dinara Yankovskaya, and others
Scene Guide:
- A model (Aleksandra Ponomareva) posing for Ivan’s project of photographing genitals in close-up. He see’s her piercing, and asks her to remove it. She tries but fails, and asks if he could help her remove it.
- Alexey has lost interest in his wife, and upon advice from his psychologist-friend, visits a massage parlour. He leaves midway because he found the experience enjoyable, which he believes, equates to unfaithfulness. The two women are played by Svetlana Karimova and Tatyana Legkova.
- Alexey’s curious teenage son visits a brothel, and sits there staring at the prostitute’s vagina (played by Ekaterina Osotova). When she asks him to get started, he tells her that he doesn’t want to have sex, that his visit is purely for educational purposes. 🙂
- Sergey is making love to wife Eva (Ekaterina Scheglova) while both of them fantasise that their partner is the magician bloke.
- Another photo shoot – Ivan’s model is a General’s wife (Natalia Iohvidova), hoping to please her husband with this photograph. Ivan tells her that he’s not sure whether her husband will like it, but will certainly be surprised to see it.
- Boris (the psychologist) has one of the strangest fetishes I’ve come across. He plays it out with a street prostitute, acted by Nelli Blinova.
- Ivan bluntly asks two sisters (Maria Yevstafyeva and Sesile Plezhe) when they last had sex. Followed by post-coital long shot of the three on the floor – discovered by Sveta and Sayana.
- Sveta (Olesya Sudzilovskaya), comforted by a submissive Sayana (Dinara Yankovskaya), is shocked when kissed, but soon looses her inhibitions. Ivan discovers the two in a post-coital embrace and moves away.

Compilation 2:
This is not for all tastes, my reason for compiling it separately. The woman in the first scene is Anastasia Kholodniakova, followed by Yuliya Aug (playing Lyudmila), an official at the local censor board. She finds herself obsessing over the penis even during work. Pavel Yulku, her driver, is practically asked to make love to her. I somehow don’t believe his hesitancy is down to respect for authority… 🙂

hi ,
these are beautiful collections, thanx.
do you have the scenes from movie ” La vie d’Adele ” (2013) ? pl. post if u hav.
The film will definitely be reviewed here, especially since it happens to be a triple Palme d’Or winner, but that won’t happen until the DVD is out.
Having said that, sex scenes like the ones in Blue is the Warmest Colour shouldn’t be viewed in their isolation, as it at once belittles all the sweat and tears that went into making it – the film is trying to show something more than that.

good work, thx man
